Karen Jewell was graduated with a B.A. degree in English from the
University of Kansas in 1978, an M.B.A. from the University of Missouri-
Kansas City in 1983, and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan
Law School in 1986 (magna cum laude and Order of the Coif). She was
an associate editor of the Michigan Law Review.

Ms. Jewell began work at Vinson & Elkins in 1986 and became a partner
of the firm in 1995. She left to join Lawrence Fossi on January 1, 2004.

Ms. Jewell is admitted to practice before the Texas Supreme Court, the
United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
